WordPress, without the runaround.
I've watched a lot of small businesses get burned two different ways: an agency that's polished but slow to answer, or a freelancer who's affordable but disappears when something breaks. PowerUp exists to be the steady middle ground — the reliability of an agency, without losing the person who actually answers the phone.
PowerUp is a one-person WordPress development practice — me, plus a small group of trusted designers I bring in for logo, branding, and visual design work when a project calls for it. That structure is intentional: it means every project actually gets my attention, and every client gets a direct line to the person doing the work.
Most of what I do falls into two categories: building — full custom WordPress sites, redesigns, and new features — and caring for what's already live, through hosting, maintenance, and support. Some clients need one, some need both, and plenty start with a build and stay on for ongoing care once the site is live.
I work with a wide range of small businesses and organizations — health and wellness practices, authors, local food producers and farms, and plenty of others — but what they tend to have in common isn't the industry. It's the size of the team (usually just a couple of decision-makers) and the kind of relationship they're looking for: straightforward, responsive, and built to last longer than one project.
What that looks like in practice
Not values on a poster — just how projects actually go.
Responsive
You'll hear back — usually the same day, always from a real person.
Reliable
Agency-quality work, without the agency-sized runaround.
Built to last
Accessible, well-structured sites, built to hold up — not just to launch well.
Let's talk about your project.
No runaround, no jargon — just a real conversation about what your site needs.
