Case Study · Full Custom Build
Two National Geographic photojournalists, one site built to do the work justice.
Randy Olson and Melissa Farlow have shot over 50 National Geographic assignments across 50 countries. Their site needed to hold decades of editorial work, two individual portfolios, and a searchable stock archive without feeling cluttered.
The Challenge
Randy and Melissa needed a shared site that still gave each photographer their own distinct portfolio, alongside a deep archive of editorial and advertising work built up over decades. On top of that, their stock photo archive needed to be genuinely searchable — by name, region, country, or subject — not just browsable.
The Approach
PowerUp built separate portfolio sections for each photographer alongside a shared editorial and advertising archive, using image-forward gallery templates that let the photography lead. A searchable stock lookup tool and an ongoing blog/publications archive round out the site.
